You know, sometimes people from Oklahoma wonder why others around the world have this "Grapes of Wrath" view of us. Well, here you go. Exhibit A.

Wow! A month. Sorry, I didn't realize it had been that long. Well, we've been quite busy with the boat and finishing up the summer.

I just got home a few minutes ago from taking my oldest to school. Her first day. She was all decked out in a cute dress with ruffle socks and Keds. So cute. She has been really nervous the last couple of days with stomach aches and all. I didn't really expect her to be so uptight about this change as she pretty well goes with the flow, so to speak.

Well, we get to the school and she's all better. She's ready to go to class. NOW! We had to wait a few minutes for the teacher to open the class. Once we got inside, I took a couple of pictures of her. After a minute or two she kinda looked at me funny and said, "Okay, Daddy, you can go now." Ouch.

I guess that's what we're supposed to do as parents, raise them up, teach them, give them confidence and a positive self-image. So they can tell us to get lost.

I'm gonna go play with the little one. At least she still likes me.
